The Department for Communities and Local Government has announced that the current Neighbourhood Planning programme
will close to applications towards the end of January 2015.
The programme provides financial support to encourage more communities to draw up neighbourhood plans. This can include:
• Choosing the location of new homes, shops and offices, having a say on what new buildings should look like
• Grant planning permission for new buildings. For information on the types of grants available and the exact closing dates for each funding stream please click on the link below. The Department has also announced that it will be launching a new £22.5 million Neighbourhood Planning programme in 2015.
